With Underfloor Heating Materials Matter!

The most important component of any underfloor heating system are the pipes. The pipes need to be strong, have the right expansion width to withstand increasing temperature and be built to last for a significant period of time.

Polypipe is the UK’s leading manufacture of underfloor heating compnents and produces the best quality authentic heating pipes, compatible with most flooring mediums  including concrete, ceramic, stone, tiles, and wood.  For an efficient heating system the installation will require the expertise of a specialisy heating design and engineering team.

At MJL Plumbing Ltd we use our years of expertise alongside CAD designs to develop a layout structure that will serve your home efficiently. Every room is guaranteed to have evenly distributed heating.

Air Source Heat Pump Underfloor Heating

If you are considering either installing an air source heat pump or an underfloor heating system you should consider installing both.  Air source systems run most efficiently at relatively low flow temperatures, this is precisely what works best with underfloor heating systems.  Keeping a consistent low temperature circulating in your system  is the best way to maximise the coefficient of performance(COP) of your heating system.  Once you reach a COP of 3.5 your electric heat pump system will probably be cheaper to run than a gas powered system (dependent upon your relative tarrif costs).

MJL Plumbing Ltd are experts in installing both heat pumps and underfloor heating systems in both domestic and commercial premises.  We can assess your property to see if it is suitable for such a system and give you an estimate as to the total cost of installation and the likely savings in energy costs.  Please get in touch for details.
